The BASIC Stamp 2 (BS2) continued in the footsteps of the [BASIC Stamp]@reference(board, basic-stamp). It added a faster processor and more I/O lines and integrated all of these into a module that could plug into a standard 24 pin dual-inline socket. This later because a defacto standard that was used by other people such as the [Staver M32]@reference(board, staverm32) and a number of other peripheral vendors. From a robotics standpoint it was used in the Parallax Boe-Bot which a number of the HBRC club members built as their first robot.
